Lighthunter
I'm the founder and sole engineer of Lighthunter, and I built the whole product: a web app (Next.js / Supabase), native iPhone and iPad apps (SwiftUI), and a Chrome extension, all sharing one real-time backend and an AI layer.
One Synced Product, Three Surfaces
Solo-built one live, synced product across three surfaces: a web app (Next.js / Supabase), native iPhone and iPad apps (SwiftUI), and a Chrome extension, all sharing the same real-time data.
Physics-Based Lighting Designer
Built a physics-based lighting designer that lets cinematographers plan and visualize lighting setups before they ever step on set.
Claude AI Layer
Layered Claude throughout the product: semantic shot-list search, look-based reference search, an auto-tagged searchable library, and call-sheet / shot-list parsing.
Reflection
Lighthunter started after I met a UK filmmaker in San Francisco who knows the film world inside out, and I handled the engineering. He's since stepped back, and I own and run it now. I'm the whole engineering team across web, native iOS, a Chrome extension, and an AI layer, which means every product and technical decision is mine to make. It's where I get to push my range as a product engineer and build something I genuinely care about: shipping real features for real users, and obsessing over the UX until the tools disappear into their workflow on set.
